WEDDINGS OPTIONS
Congratulations! You or a loved one is planning for a wedding. I know how much planning goes into a wedding, and it’s for that reason that I literally want to be the least of your worries. Here are some options that may ease your planning.
RECEPTION:
The first option is to play while the guests are arriving. This creates a nice ambiance and also is an easy way to direct traffic towards a specific location.
PLAYING THE BRIDE DOWN THE AISLE:
If you’re looking for more of a surprise, this is a good way to get your guests attention. For many weddings, the piper remains hidden from guests until the bride starts down the aisle. This creates a surprise effect and grabs the guests attention. It’s a great way to create a feeling of excitement, joy and happiness!
SIGNING OF THE REGISTER:
Another great time to play during a wedding is when the bridal party is signing the official documentation. As this can take some time, it is nice to have some nice background music to entertain the guests.
DURING/AFTER THE KISS
What better way to celebrate the newly weds by playing a nice melodic, celebratory tune while they are sealing the deal with that kiss. Usually after the kiss, the bride and groom will leave the hall or wedding area to head to the reception area.
RECEPTION
In order to clearly indicate where the reception area is, especially if the reception area is offsite, or to bring in that emotion of celebration to this event, it is sometimes nice to have a piper outside of the reception area.
HEAD TABLE
For many military weddings, the piper is used to pipe in the head table. If this is a traditional Scottish wedding, the bride and groom will do a toast to the piper with the traditional Scottish Quaich.
